@kammagic I agree with Kammagic... maybe there aren't rules saying he has to ask or get permission, it's just respectful and courteous. Most people like magic because they enjoy not knowing whats behind the illusion. It's what makes it magic. Thats kind of the goal in keeping magic in tact. Asking before uploading is just a really nice thing to do if you have any respect.

@wind7826 Anybody with even the most basic knowledge of magic should be able to figure out any of my magic. Magic is all about the illusion that you create. It has nothing to do with wether or not you know how it works. I know how movies work. I still enjoy the illusion they create.
All I can do is put the suggestions out there for you. Wether you choose to take the advice is up to you.
Good luck to you.

I figured out the trick after watching it. 10 mins to practice the 4 queens part. 10 mins to video and edit.
Kam, if your trick is perfect, I wouldn't be able to perform. If you want to teach me how to make video, best is giving me the link of HOW TO...
Brusko, I thank you for standing on my side. You shouldn't let his actions bother you. Just let it go. I can handle it myself.
If you are just, you wouldn't be afraid of any threat.

It clearly states in the description of my video that it was something I created. If someone chooses to perform something I created and they also state and I quote.
"Please feel free to give comment. I really appreciate it."
Then how am I out of line by giving him advice on how to make better videos? He is not upset about the advice. He even thanked me for it. The only person upset here is you and it's not your video or channel. You are causing your own pain. Go sell crazy somewhere else.

if you were paying attention, the guy said.....I don't know the creator of this, I only know the performer. To me, it is more proper not to tell people what to do, more so if they are not asking you! Why don't you put your ire to those people who were posting tutorials?
-
These are not rules. Only guidelines. Follow them and you will make better videos. Its only proper etiquette to ask someone for their permission before using something that is theirs. There are no secrets in music. But perform a magic effect badly and it's like making an exposure video. My advice is sound advice and proven advice. If you have evidence that proves otherwise I'd love to see it..

@kammagic he does'nt need to ask permission from you unless, he's making money out of it! Are you telling me that if I like to sing a song I need to ask permission first to the singer who made the song? I don't think so! As I've said, live by your rules but give the man the freedom to do the things that makes him happy! Case closed!
-
First of all if you are going to do someone else's effect you should first ask permission and second you better do a damn good job. If you can't then don't make the video. Under the circumstances I am being very cordial. I have offered him ideas on how he can improve his videos. He does not have to follow these suggestions but if he does his videos WILL improve.

@kammagic this young man was proud of his work that's why he posted a video. You should be proud of yourself coz' he looked at you as a good and a nice person or magician. As far as I know, there are no rules in posting a video here at youtube the same as you listed in your comments. Live by your rules........but leave the young man alone!

Yes If the routine or move is something I am not familiar with I will always learn it from the creator through DVD, book or in person. I will learn the routine correctly. Then if needed I will change it to fit my performing style. Too many people get into magic and don't want to
put in the time it takes to become profecient. They think "If I just do the moves then I'm doing magic"
Don't post a video until you have everything right and you are proud of your work.
Magic is all about presentation.
If you don't have the routine down. Don't make a video.
If you can't light it properly. Don't make a video.
If you can't include patter. Don't make a video.
If you can't take the time to present an effect properly. Don't make a video.
If you didn't learn the trick from the creator(me). Don't make a video.

I honestly thank you for giving me such tips. I can take learning from that. However, I must disagree with you one or two tips.
You said that if I didn't learn from you, don't make the video. I didn't learn the Grandpa's Aces from D.C. or the actual creator but I still post it on. D.C. or the creator didn't complain about that. As long as I don't make the tutorials or the OMG OBVIOUS mistake(s), then I am fine.
