I'm pretty sure it was just a movie with a script, a bunch of characters, music, a story and dancing. I think people look way too deeply into such things. A theme for a story is fine, but when you start comparing it to belief and religion, that's going a bit too deep. My point is, not everything you see on t.v. is symbolic. It's for entertainment purposes. Anyone can use their imagination to create such contrasting views, and with any movie. It was a good observation and comparison none-the-less

So ironic how you used Elton John's song as an analogy. Thats amazing and how powerful music can translate to worlds and generations beyond religion, farce or dogma. Espcially, when christiniaty frowns upon Elton John's fabulous life style!

You're right. Shows how one individual can use a fictional story to try to subtly weaken people's faith in God.

Good appraisal. I am weary of vampires being immune from stuff and the good witch/bad witch theme which prevails in our children's stories. These stories are written with God being a moot point. Sad.
