Kuruthi Punal is a masala free pure A grade cop story.A dynamic performance by padmasree kamal matched and augmented by arjun.Terrorist are not portrayed as bumbling baboons but rather as disgruntled citizens infused with the wrong ideology.Cops don't run around touting dummy guns,jumping from high rised buildings unharmed.Their weakest link is their love for their family,and this movie depicts how criminals exploit this to their gain.Kaaka kaaka was a mere carbon copy,and a poor one at that of this classic movie.A thought provoking apt ending worth watching a million times.
