  • @ss3ph2 The version of Kessler that Calzaghe beat had a busted hand.

  • Froch's recent fights, although they look good on paper can all be questioned -

    4. Abraham - too small for a SMW. not beaten any SMWs of note, never close to winning a title at the weight!

    5. Glen Johnson - 42 years old - has lost 15 fights including to Omar Shieka (who Calzaghe ko'd), as well as to the like of Silvio Branco, Syd Vanderpool and Joseph Kiwanuka at SMW

  • Froch's recent fights, although they look good on paper can all be questioned -

    1. Jermaine Taylor - never close to a SMW title only win at the weight was against Jeff Lacy (who was never going to be the same after the 12 rnd beating Calzaghe gave him)

    2. Andre Dirrell - Dirrell arguably won the fight if not for a home town decision

    3. Kessler - a twice beaten former world champion beat Froch!! (the version of Kessler that Calzaghe faced was an unbeaten world champion!)

  • So Calzaghe ducked Froch?! no chance - Calzaghe retired at the end of 2008. Frochs biggest win up to that point was over a shot Robin Reid. He then beat Albert Rybacki before Pascal - Pascal has not beaten any notable SMWs!! So Calzaghe chose to fight a legend - Roy Jones Junior, in Maddison Square Gardens, rather than a fighter who had beaten nobody of note....fair play!

Froch has been pretty impressive since then, however there is no evidence what so ever that he would have beaten Calzaghe

  • @reno573 Hahaha "left him in europe"

It's hilarious how you say that as if he had no choice but to remain in europe. Like he couldn't have come to the states, fought the same D-level bums he fought in Europe except actually attract american attention, and create the buzz that would make it worth it to fight him.

But the true champions, the americans who were fighting other prime top fighters in the boxing capital of the world, should've flown to a small island to fight a fake champ. LOL

  • @reno573 Actually the opposite is true, Frank Warren is on record as say Joe wanted no part of Hopkins or jones in their prime

  • @reno573 You think it would be easier than Lacy? They you are simply a dickriding Welsh nationalist and very casual boxing fan. You discredit yourself with comments like that. Calzaghe wouldn't even win this Super6. His opponents, in his entire career, minus Eubank and Kessler, were not at the standard of Dirrell, Ward, Taylor and Johsnon. He only had the WBC belt once, and then gave them up to avoid the harder fights the WBC belts bring.

  • @reno573 You are totally dislusional and illogial! Hopkins and Jones were older than Joe, so he was always more in his prime than they. Clearly you do not know Warrens MO - look at Joes career, that is Warrens MO, bums, more bums and old men. Joe DID avoid Froch, thats a "fact", he called him out in every interview!! It doesn't matter what you speculate, Joe avoided Froch, that is the historical reality. If they ever fight, and Joe loses, you dickriders will now use Joe's age as an excuse.

  • Its a fact that Hopkins and Roy wanted no part of a prime calzaghe and left him in Europe. Pavlik, Froch everyone all turned Calzaghe down and Frank Warren and his team would back this up. I cant believe you think Joe would avoid Carl. You can quote me on this but it would be easier than Lacy fight.
