This is my second stirling engine. Built out of stuff from the hardware store and my recycling bin. J.B. Weld pistons, roled up soda cans for displacers stuffed with steel wool for the regenerator although I would not stuff it so hard next time. at best she ran at about 300 rpm's.

  • very impresive work you realised sir. you design also looks very interesting.

I am looking already for a while for the plans to build a 2 cylinder stirling engine,

and your engine i like very very much. is it possible for you to send me your scanned sketches of your beautiful engine. i would be very greatful for the time and effort you took for me, thank you already. My email address is: joachimminor@hotmail.com Looking forard to your reponse and continue with your fantastic work! Edgard

  • @polkagatos thanks, but I don't really have any sketches left. This video is probably the best reference. I'm no expert, I just went at it intuitively, but I'd be glad to answer any questions the best I can.

  • thats a cool engine design not very many people have the knowledge to make something like thay. is thre any chance you can send me the blueprints and supply list

  • @robgizmo1 Sorry man, Blueprints were sketches at best, Can't be sure of the supply list but as you can see mostly copper, but it conducts heat very well so even though the chamber looks like one piece it is two pieces of 1" copper separated by a ceramic part of a light socket to prevent the heat from traveling. I used J.B. Weld everywhere heat would reach the epoxy, as well as for the power piston. Aluminum flashing for the heat sink, aluminum trim and steel rod for the mechanics,
