Using a home made 10 element 435 & IO Loop for 145MHz, with a Yaesu FT-847. Simon - 2E0HTS, adjusts his (uplink) transmitted signal to correct the doppler of the Received (downlink) frequency whilst talking to fellow Ham Operators around Europe. Thanks to the Stations worked via the VO-52 Satellite which were SP9FPP, PD0HF & SP6DCO.
Stations Worked in the video are All Licenced Amateur Radio Operators.

Hi Simon, Great video indeed ! I am surprised to see how clear and strongs the signals are. Obviously your home-made antenna does a great job. Thanks to you, I think I will setup a sat station to work the birds as 10 years earlier ! :)

i have a station setup at the club with a 8 element cross yagi (8 each) and a 4 element vertical yagi and a small channel master rotor and at an angle of about 20-30 deg.
and the station is an old yaesu ft-726r.
question:
Once you are tuned(hear your self on the downlink) do you correct the up or down link for doppler ?

congrats on your set up.
Once you hear yourself adjust the uplink to remain on same downlink RX frequency.
Hope to hear you on the Satellites someday soon G L & 73

Hello Simon-- I have been a ham for several years an now want to work satellites. I have an FT-847 and am having a devil of a time trying to learn how to use the satellite modes. Is there a how-to that you can suggest?
