The peroneal muscles run down the outer side of the lower leg and attach to the foot. Their job is to invert and plantarflex the foot. They may need strengthening following peroneal tendon injuries and ankle sprains.

  • I have a bad tendancy to invert. Any suggestions to correct this?

  • @MrSuperHappyFun Make sure you strengthen the everter muscles and the peroneals (the invertors) should be strengthened eccentrically so they are better at controlling and slowing over inversion
