  • sounds like turbo. hm

  • @tristan687 cheap as well

  • @tristan687 im not sure if ive responded to you or another person but no they are not shorter cars are harder to keep in a drift but i started in mine and now i can drift a lot of cars i always recommend starting things the hard way because once you know how to do it the hard way the easy way well will be easy if you get what im sayin

  • @stupidplants well if youre drifting d1 shit then put a turbo ls1 in it. if youre taking it to local tracks then what ive already said

  • @serriously

im talking drift competivitley, not just slide around wherever

  • Respond to this video... if you did a 1.8 or 2.0 swap exhaust and suspension and of course some kind of lsd ive seen miatas drift with 1.5 ways before also. you pretty much good to go. you may need a roll bar for some tracks because its a rag top

  • @stupidplants My friend drifts his 91 miata just fine and all it has are coils and a stock 1.8 swap and a 2way lsd. Miatas really dont make a lot of power but theyre light so they dont need to make crazy numbers. Ive seen a guy drift a completely stock 1.6 with coils and a 1.8 torsen. i can even get my stock 1.6 to slide with coils and an open dif it just wont hold a line lol

  • @serriously

different tires suspension intake manifold and exhaust is all thats allowed in SCCA Spec Miata, its all that you would need for drifting as well, other than a different rear end gearing with an LSD/Welded diff

  • @tristan687 the 1st gen is

  • @tristan687 i would say just stick with 240sx in good shape(!!!!!). lots of aftermarket parts and its a good car to start with.
