This show really emphasized what a big part tv used to play in the average American household. Back then, there were commercials that urged kids to stop watching tv and go outside because it was just so entertaining!

But, things are changing now that we're in the Information Age and the mainstream giants are producing any uninspired product, as long as it sells. Al Bundy would have been miserable watching the generic crap on tv nowadays.

But, Peg would probably still enjoy Oprah.
