I've an even better book to recommend for a better future: "The best that money can't buy" by Jacque Fresco.
Read it and see what we could be living in...
Time is of the essence. Spread awareness.

Its good. But the model only works on certain restrictive assumptions.

see Simpol, the Simultaneous Policy. 1. Its how you can use your vote in a new way DRIVE governments to work together to solve global problems. 2. It is also how you can take part to create the global policies alongside other Simpol "Adopters" in an open source way.

Great book, and it's pretty straightforward even to a non-biologist/economist/political scientist.

Yeah, it's presented in a very concrete and straightforward way, and all the applied examples from WWI trench warfare to the umpire with a hangover are just great.

Chapter 9, p. 178 in my edition, about robustness of social contracts. (The ump told the catcher to hold the ball for a second if it was a strike and otherwise to throw the ball right back, knowing the catcher would play fair because the ump was in a position to retaliate.)
