You can sit upright in that car? Seems a bit small for your height. :-)
500 km range? Must be a minisize tank - or is the gas-mileage just incredibly good compared to infamous US standards?
Gas is expensive in Japan? Visit Germany and you're gonna be shocked. Our liter is at about 2.30 USD, making the gallon roughly 8.75 USD, due to eco-taxes.

Nice video Jason. I always ilke your car, apartment, and driving videos (even though I know you won't be doing another diving video). Looking forward to your apartment/house video (unsure what you actually live in. lol). I know I'm going to be big in most, if not all, of their cars. But, a car as you said is better than a scooter. =)

@myargonauts Thanks for the reply :) Yeah, $6.40 a gallon gas would keep most SUVs and trucks parked here at home. Lol. I enjoy your videos man thanks!
how you feel driving on the right side instead of the left???????

So how often do you see American cars in Japan? I'm assuming there rare..? How about big American trucks? More rare? With big lifted trucks super popular in here I the states I figure you will see one now and then in Japan right?
mrcoolr429 1 year ago
@mrcoolr429 they are very rare in rural Japan where I am. You don't see SUVs or big trucks - they're just too big for the roads and parking spaces, etc. I'm sure you see the occasional American car in Osaka or Tokyo, but not in the inaka.

I have compiled a list of comments...lol
1. Awesome-- so you still do kendo? I have been out of practice for almost 2 years. :(
2. 500 series plate for the win!
3. I always wanted a Honda Fit
4. When I drove in Japan (at least in Tokyo) I got all confused by the crazy road markings/red pavement/triple-dashed lines/etc. Could you give a brief explanation of what these all mean, or better yet, is there a driver handbook in English?
5. I have no right to complain about gas prices in my area now.

@sonikku10 I haven't played kendo since moving back yet. You can get a JAF "rules of the road" book translated into English - cost it about 1000yen.
