@gasdfw5 im talking about the second helghan war not the first the second began with the invasion of vekta
after the helaghan lost they asked for a cease-fire treaty the ISA ,wich is in fact nothing more then a heavy armed militia the peacekeepers of the vekta system, they dont represent the earth militiary wich is much stronger,refused and started the invasion of Helghan instead

and after the helghan invasion of vektra led into total defeat and the helghast offered peace the ISA refused and obliterated the helghan fleet and commenced the inavsion instead...so in fact the ISA are the bad guys not the helghast

Accordig to the official backstory, the Helghast are actually the opressed, not the other way around. Apparently, the ISA declared war on the Helghast back when they owned Vekta, which was named after the CEO of the Helghan Company, Phillip Vekta. The Helghast couldn't defend themselves against the ISA and retreated to Helghan (named after the company). There the Helghast we know and love were born through their hatred of the ISA for taking the planet they rightfully owned.
