  • These statistics are not correct as of 2011.

    Richest 20%- 48.1% share of income

    Second 20% 22.9% share of income

    Third 20%- 15.3% share of income

    Fourth 20%- 9.6% share of income

    Poorest 20%- 4.0% share of income

  • @candoeller711 thank you... this video was made quite a while ago so I did not have the stats from 2011 when it was made. Maybe the new stats show that things are slowly starting to shift in the right direction... however I think the point of the video holds true... we need to help those less fortunate than us.

  • Wow. This was powerful and so true. We always talk about third world nations and the poor that live there, and we have our very own nation of homeless and disenfranchised right outside our doors. It's shameful.

  • Actually lacking inheritance and not having the proper hereditary is the reason why people are poor. There is a hidden war waged by a certain class of people (yes, there are classes here in America that are determined not only by one's income, work, and education, but their lineage as well) against others. Hence most of America being unable to outpace inflation and others having to decide what bill doesn't get paid. Plus dependence on loans, and dependence is slavery.

  • Here in America the richest 10% have 75% of the economic capital. Social and cultural capital also keep the working-class out of good secondary schools and universities.
