I watched game 7, later. I didn't watch it LIVE. After game 6 under my own suspicions, which came out for the world to see in later years. The Kings in 03 were more than likely better than 02, but Bibby being out until about Christmas prevented their record from probably being better than in 02, and Webber going down in game 2 of the second round is definitely a difference maker when the series STILL went 7. Those Nets teams were bigger jokes than the lakers, Kings would've crushed them. Easily.

Made a mistake, I meant Game 6 not 7. Anyways, shame you didn't watch then again I wouldn't have watched either if I were a Kings fan. As a Laker fan who never watched the dynasty(00-02), the Kings still had a chance to win the conference in 03. Still would've taken them over the Spurs and against the Nets.

How were they supposed to actually KNOW AT THE TIME they were being robbed? They wouldn't have any way of knowing. Again, in my opinion, outside of actually winning the championship, I always like seeing my teams win series' on the road because it's more of a thrill and entertaining. And I guarantee I wouldn't be "singing a different tune" because I didn't watch game 7 at the time under my own suspicions.

Fact is, despite some problems early, they had the series in six. All there is to it.

Look man, being robbed in Game 7 should've given them motivation to beat the Lakers in Sac and send them home. It's not like they got robbed in Sac. That would've been even worse. Doesn't excuse them choking in the grand finale. And acting like the game didn't matter is pointless. Had they beaten the Lakers in Game 7 and went on to the Finals, you'd be singing a different tune. But, because the game was "irrelevant", it doesn't matter. The Lakers got it done when it mattered and the Kings didn't

Does anyone not get that if you're robbed in a game, anything after is totally irrelevant? Game 7 means nothing to me. An interesting to game to watch, but doesn't mean shit. The greatest game that never mattered.

Having an extra game is no excuse to being robbed when they were already going to win. The idea of defeating the two time "champions" on their own floor and sending them out bitching and heartbroken with their own shitty fans is a much more satisfying situation anyway, in my opinion.

If they were the best team in 2002, they would've beat the Lakers in Game 7 on their home floor. They didn't even shoot 50% from FT and were horrible from beyond the arc. They were robbed in Game 6 but they choked in Game 7 just like the Blazers did in 00.
