William Gairdner is brilliant. He observes and writes with clarity. His "Book of Absolutes" is another gem. Small "c" conservative viewpoints - however widely held - are typically shamelessly slammed or disregarded by the media in Canada & the U.S., so writings like his are especially important.

The sad fact is there is no freedom of speech here in Canada. The ship has not sailed and only promulgated as such due to the obscene bias and censorship practiced within the media and academia where no debate or open discourse is ever held but moreover denied.
