My mom died of a drug overdose when I was 15 and I feel like my world fell apart. I wanted so badly to help her, but I know now that she could only help herself. After she died I started using drugs and alcohol and it spiraled out of control until I pretty much lost everything. I'm now 20 and i've been clean and sober for almost 6 months. I can especially relate to where it says " You gotta let the sun in, she would have wanted it that way". I know she wouldn't have wanted that life for me.
