Hugo Sanchez played with Real Madrid back when the US ignored soccer. Luis Garcia played with Atletico Madrid, Luis De La Fuente played with Racing de Santander.

Donovan sucks ass! He is a big fish in a small pond, that is why he stays in MLS.

Mexico also has coaches who went overseas to coach in Europe, has there ever been US coaches do that? The US is no equal!

I would hardly call 7th place impressive for a team which you say is solid! We had Rafa Marquez playing in Spain with Barcelona for a number of years and Javier Hernandez is TEARING UP the English league with Manchester United, one of the best club teams in the world! If our players are so shitty, how come not a single US player has EVER landed with an exclusive top team like Man U or Barca??

I would bet not a single US player could get a contract with a Man U or Barca like Mexican players!

Everton is a solid team i believe they are 7th in standing right now, hardly bottom fieders. Though donovan was cut, at least he has the skill to be considered for bayern munich.
