Track 3 side 1 of the much underrated "High Energy" album. Some of these songs captured Scherries voice perfectly - she sings this with great gutso. I've put a lot of solo shots from the various photo shoots I've done over the past few years with the group too. Sorry about the thin green line at the very bottom. Still getting used to this new complicated semi-pro editing software!

  • How much of the High Energy album was complete when Cindy left. I remember in Mary's Book, "Supreme Faith", Scherrie's lead (that featured Cindy) was shelved to introduce Susaye.

  • Well Cindy recorded a lead on 'High Energy' she played it to me when she came over to do some solo gigs in the 80's. Not a bad version but much milder than the one we all know.

  • Can you upload "You Keep Me Movin' On"? It's from this same LP and rocks. Love Scherrie's voice!

  • Yep, I intend to do that anyway so I'll just put it higher on the list!

  • Anyone with the new Box set...can you tell me who is singing the lead on the alternate version of this? Is it still Scherrie? It's the slower version.

  • Are you confusing Susaye and Scherrie? As I recall Susaye only sang lead on 'Come Into My Life' from MS&S and 'High Energy'. The bulk of the leads were Scherrie on both albums....

  • Susaye's vocals were just perfect at this point. She should've remained the group's sole lead singer. She gave them that unique lead sound type that made the group successful in the '60s, but added a more modern and soulful edge for the '70s. When her vocals went over-the-top on the "MS&S" album, and she had to trade off with Mary and Scherrie, the group lost focus. I love Mary, but not as a lead by herself or trading off on leads. Great song here! And the backgrounds deservedly rich!

  • Wow!! I would LOVE to hear it!! As well as Sherrie's lead on "High Energy. To have three interpretations to one song. Cindy's lead, Scherrie's lead, adn Susay's phenominal lead.

  • excellent, what a track x Di

  • That has already been uploaded

  • very cool!!!

  • GREAT!!!! While I'm asking, how about "I Don't Want To Be Tied Down" from "Mary, Scherrie and Susaye"? That was a great track that should have been issued as a single!

Thanks, I'll be watching for it!
