Demi: *grabbing her stuff from her locker. closes the door*
Selena: *standing right behind the door* Hey Demi!
Demi: *jumps* AH! Selena!
Selena: You gotta be used to it by now.
Demi: No. I'm NOT.
Selena: So is Joe taking you home?
Demi: No. He had to leave early for some reason. Plus I skateboarded to school anyways.
Selena: All right then. See ya when you get home. *starts walking away*
Demi: Thanks for the heads up this time!
Selena: *sticks her thumb up in the air*

Demi: *walks out into the parking lot. looks around* Man Selena's fast.
???: Hey Demi.
Demi: *turns around* Oh. Hi Meghan.
Meghan: I saw you. Yesterday...with Joe.
Demi: What were you spying on us?
Meghan: No...but I warned you didn't I?
Demi: *gets angry* Look Meghan, we're partners for this project. I HAVE to be with him.
Meghan: So what? Just because you have to be partners does not make any difference. You know why? Cause you obviously like it.
Demi: So?
Meghan: Stop hanging around Joe so much!
Demi: But....he's my friend.
Meghan: So? I can tell you like him more than "Just Friends"
Demi: But--
Meghan: You obviously don't get it. Do you?
Demi: What?
Meghan: Joe doesn't care about you. Hello you're smart right?
Demi: Yeah....*doesn't get what she's trying to say*
Meghan: Joe's held back. He's supposed to be a senior.
Demi: What?
Meghan: He knows you're smart and he knows that you'll do good on this project.
Demi: No. Joe wouldn't do that.
Meghan: Really? And what makes you say that? Is it his charm or his kindness....or his lips?
Demi: *silent*
Meghan: He obviously is just using you. Duh! If he wasn't nice before why would he suddenly change?
Demi: No, you don't know what you're talking about.
Meghan: I think I do. And I think you do too.
Demi: No I don't. I don't believe you.
Meghan: Fine...don't believe the truth...but wait until this project's over and then you'll see how he acts...well you know depending on your grade.
Demi: Stop!
Meghan: Hey I'm just trying to help you here Dems. Isn't that what Joe calls you...Dems?
Demi: *eyes start to water*
Meghan: You might not want to get too attatched on this kind Joe...But I'm warning you...STAY AWAY FROM HIM!
Demi: *doesn't talk*
Meghan: *passes her* See ya around, Dems.
Demi: *a tear rolls down her cheek. she hesitates but then turns to Meghan* And what do you suppose I do?
Meghan: *turns around* What do you mean?
Demi: What do you want me to do? NOT do good on this project.
Meghan: No...I want you to tell Joe that you don't want to be friends anymore.
Demi: *gulps*
Meghan: Just tell him how you really feel about this. And don't let him get his way.
Demi: *drops her head.* Okay...
Meghan: *grins with a satisfied smile* See ya later...
