  • Damn, sounds good! You running a high stall, if so, what type and what kind of tuning did you do to your fueling and timing tables?

  • I lowered the first three fueling columns in the ve by .80 .85 and .95 and raised timing by 4* then logged to see where KR was present and lowered timing in those cells also did some wide band tuning.

  • Where'd you put the wide bands in the pipes, and what tuning software did you use to change the timing and AFRs. Since you say you're running l92 heads, I take it that they are stamped 243 instead of the usual 6.0l 317 heads.

  • No the 243's heads are not l92's... I am using 823's l92 square port and I put the wideband on my left side 02 spot and use hptuners.

  • how big of a stall you running that cam choice might leave some power i the table , but sounds good man

  • Ta perra tu troca bro, Por esta troca aggare la mia haha

  • @ledbetterbrothers thanks for replying about the silverado ss. i actually bought a 06 trailblazer ss awd with the ls2 6.0. so far it has a k&n cai, magnaflow muffler and thats it. i know what mods are what and what i should do but i wanna hear it from sumbody that has already been there.

  • @BLACKLACDTS I would start with a good intake. Vararam seems to be the best that I have seen. My truck gained over 20 hp when I switched to the Vararam from the K&N 63. Doing that with a good set of headers and dual exhaust with an X pipe, then computer mods will get you started off pretty good. After that, get a good cam. Probably a 224/232 with no more than .580 lift. Then, a good torque converter. I would say about 3200 stall. Please do NOT waste your time porting heads lol or a thorttle body

  • @ledbetterbrothers hey bud,i talked to you a while back about my silverado ss. it seems like you have al;ot of knowledge about thiese trucks and i would like to know what would be the best mods to start with first? cai, exhaust, bolt ons but then whats the next best?

  • @BLACKLACDTS The L92 heads are the best bang for your truck (or buck). You will need an intake to match the rectangle ports instead of the cathedral ports, of course. The truck intakes flow great and do make more torque in the lower rpms than the car intakes. As far as out flowing a fast intake, I don't know. FAST will flow more in upper rpms. So if you are 1/4 mile racing, go FAST lol. If it's a daily, get a truck intake. IMO, truck intakes launch off the line in 1/8 mile. Check my dyno video!

  • Would it hurt to put a cam on a ss silverado with 109,000 miles on the engine or will it be fine

  • @ledbetterbrothers i actually remembered that when i read it that they were from the 6.2's. i want to put a good head on my 05 silverado ss without goin crazy what would be the best head? i also heard the truck intakes flow real good is this true? can it out flow a fast intake? thanks alot for your help.

  • @BLACKLACDTS The L92 heads are the ones on GM's 6.2 L engines. They are a smaller version of the LS7 heads. (Where the large rectangle shaped intake port comes from) 2007-2008 Silverado Vortec Max's came with L92s from the factory on a L76 block. L92s are basically the same as the LS3 heads.

  • what motor do the l92 heads come from?
