OK. Well, you asked for it, so let operation "Confuse Emily with my random ramblings" commence!! Maria, the girl, was Shadow's childhood friend, and possible sweetheart. Aw. But then one day she died of diesease or something or other and so she was like "Save the world, Shadow. Make them happy!!" And so she sent him into outer space to perish. I can't remember. It's been a while since I've played SA2B...
