great version .also like anthony newleys version equally as well

Both Ray and the arranger made this song feel as though the dancers were going to fly above the dance floor, very romantic and I'm sure some couples cemented their relationship with a deep kiss while dancing to this song. Should have been a #1 hit on all charts. I love this song. Greg

This song makes you want to sweep the dance floor on your toes as though you'll go airborne in total bliss. Nothing like these love songs from the 50's and 60's. Greg

@maggymoonful - I totally agree, beautiful voice!..this is flipside to the 45 of Tell Laura I Love Her.

Very nice collection and you now have a new subscriber :-) Does anyone know who is doing the background float vocals? Is it Zola Taylor or Janet Vogel or someone else? Not many who can hit those notes. Thanks for sharing.

This is probably the most sentimental song that Ray has to his name & I'm hearing it for the first time. The most important think to note about this tear jerker is that it's a happy ending for his "My Blue Angel as well as Ray himself, noting what he had done was a mistake. It's a nice to believe that she was there all along in the waiting, knowing he'll be back one day to patch things up(sob). Thx 4 posting
OMG, OMG, I have been looking for this song for literally years.......only knew the lyrics and not the singer.............Thank you, thank you.

It's a toss up, I still like his uptempled hit, "I'm Tired" over this Mt Blue Angel. I've got I'm Tired in my record collection, like a couple of hundred others, I got 'em at a 2nd hand store I frequented. They were known to have jukebox singles dumped off there and teenagers like me with some pocket money prospered. They went for 25 ceents each or 5 for a dollar, if memory serves me correctly. I had hundreds of singles and many I played over and over again, "I'm Tired" wasn't one of them.THX

@Ezdduf4kuZ "I'm Tired" was a definite improvement over the original a-side, "Come And Get It". As much as I like "I'm Tired", I always like Ray's ballads the best.

@ILoveJenni47: You are ABSOLUTELY right this should have been on the a-side of the original single and it was one of Ray's best efforts. It is a very, very beautiful song and for the life of me, I don't understand why it didn't chart all that well. I suspect many older baby boomers may not even remember it! Such a shame... Thanks so much for posting it!

@rskissack The djs should have flipped the record over to play this side, and the promotion should have been behind it instead of the other side. Thanks for your comments!
