I never knew Waylon sang this. I love it. The cool thing, Bob Dylan digs Billy Joe Shaver. And Waylon did an entire album of Billy Joe songs.

@heymama1 there is a world of difference between Waylon , BJS ... Bob Dylon when i first put this up i have to admit i did prefer the dylan version now i aint sure anymore. Waylon and Billy are both musical heroes of mine. Bob i like some of his stuff not everything i do like thios one tho ... TC my friend

Dylan and Johnny Cash did a great version especially when JC was doing the singing. It was done after Dylan's comeback from the MC accident on the Self Portrait album and he hadn't lost his voice from smoking too much.

@jmorejennings Well i do prefer Waylon version of most of everything he does and didn't people say the same about JC and KK and it never hurt their careers at all and Dylan as got enough of a fan basa for hom not to worry
