@fishybighits Thanks for support and appreciation of the Danish Army. It has often been looked down upon and ridiculed somewhat by a strong leftist cultural elite and much of the populace. As a small country they believe we are still as impotent as in 1940- a national trauma that compounding the ones from 1864 and 1801/1807. It means something to us that at least professional soldiers in the rest of the world, who knows what they are talking about, appreciates the Danish Armed Forces.

deeply in respect to the danish troops in helmand! i have more respect for the danes than the brits and americans. proud of being your neighbour and even more to call you a brother in scandivnavia! keep up danish braveharts.

In October 1943 the turn had come to the Danish Jews. The Jews were helped to safety in the countryside and then sailed to Sweden from the east coast of Zealand. Most fishermen volunteered their help others demanded to be well paid for the dangerous journey across the Sound. . During a period of one month more than 7,000 Jews reached safety in Sweden, which received the refugees.
In spite of these efforts, around one hundred Danish Jews lost their life

And the USA didn't care for Europe until they were attacked by the japanese... you may like to know that Denmark saved most of it's jews from the Nazis, and we had our own resistance in the country, so we wasn't a member of the axis
