Some of these bugs may have gone unnoticed by players, while some other bugs may be things you've noticed but don't understand the reason behind (such as animation degradation). Hopefully this is useful, especially to SOE. I may continue to do this sort of thing in the future if it's warranted. Tonight s patch should be awesome. Let's hope it fixes most of these bugs!
About animation FPS capping: often this optimization tactic is used on players that are far away from you - their animations will be capped to a lower FPS and made more choppy, thus costing your computer less resources. As you get closer to these players, their animation quality will increase and look smoother the nearer you are to them. However, in Planetside 2, this 'distance' qualifier doesn't seem to be implemented yet, thus causing player animations to be capped at a low FPS and degraded even at close distances. This should be fixed.
The LOD issue is a big one too!
