Crossing Granite Creek in a '99 4Runner in Prescott, AZ. The crossing is normally axle-deep, but several inches of snow and rain provided flood conditions.

  • where on granite creek is that

i live in prescot and just lifted my truck and did a bunch of work to it i wanna try and cross that

  • Granite Gardens Dr, just south of the old hwy 89 & 89A jct

  • thanks mad do you think i could make it in my truck? its a 84 chevy 3/4 ton with an 8 inch lift and air lockers

  • So long as you don't hold me legally responsible ... :)

Your air intake would need to be located high up; or have a snorkel.

Also, have a buddy & recovery vehicle nearby just in case.

The main trick is to keep moving, and don't get caught in the mud, or the current.

  • GO DEEP OR GO HOME

  • Crazy I've never seen it that deep. Used to take my jeep through there after a rain storm

  • That was so cool! And that 4Runners badass!

  • some crazy mad driving skills

  • nice video,

    great drive

*don't cross a river with the windows closed*

  • very good job , I like it

  • the little road and prescott cops suck

  • Holy fuckin gayness man, but where did you cross down there, on 6th street? Or were you no the west side of the overpass on that little road?

  • alright man i ended up crossing down at granite creek park just fine but the police didn't like it soo much they slapped me with a big fine and i have to appear before a juge to see if the city is gonna charge me with wreckless dreiving

  • Also when you enter the current you want to drive at an angle facing up current just like you see in the video. If you cross perpendicular to the current it will sweep you down stream too fast. Also keep in mind that the bed of pickups like to float, obviously killing your traction.
