I LOVED all the really tight close ups they did on this show. Julie just makes you melt---and not just anybody's skin could take a camera that close. Her face is English peaches and cream for sure.

Julie Andrews had a great voice but... Her voice is not for this song. This song requires a strong voice!!! Julie had a soft very beautiful voice. Because of that, I didn't like this version as much (not even near) of the original one. GO Julie Andrews!!!

It's this type of singing that makes me wonder what could have happened if the directors in Hollywood in the 1970's had been able to see past her Mary Poppins/Maria image, the roles she could have done, she had the talent to pull off grittier roles.

@DanVotchka She sure did and still have the talent for grittier roles, just watch "Duet for One". Julie got a bit of a bad rep in the late 60's because of a few less successful movies and almost exclusively worked with Blake for a while after that, concentrated on their family/kids and made some tv specials - whether it was because of "typecasting" (no role offers) or by own choice is up for debate.
But even todays directors only see her as the nanny / grandmother / queen, so...
