  • An absolute masterpiece. A beautiful, emotional trip back in time, and the only way to experience the Soviet Union in the 1920's!

  • @VideoHeadII Not bashing complaining, mainly because it was Homework and I didn't want to view it. When people get bored they get cranky even more so when they're sleep deprived. Besides that I just didn't like it and the whole Art for Art's sake thing ain't my thing *shrug.* Too boring and unengaging needed more umph or something....something more thought provoking to capture the viewer (which is me in this case).

(Sincerely curious) Did you actually enjoy it?

  • @ArcSpartan009 It's Art and story is irrelevant! the Mona Lisa does not tell a story, nor does Starry Night. This film is really just a compilation of shots the artist liked and thought were aesthetically pleasing; the real question is, why you do want it to be more? It was not made to entertain you it was made because the artist wanted to make it and if you find value or substance in then thats great and if not then thats ok too, but dont bash the work just because it doesn't tell a story.

  • @Thalz Really and why is that? There's no plot no direction just contrasting clips between things like life being born and death, work and play, marriage and divorce, sleeping and being awake. It's a glorified slide show, "A Trip to the Moon" made 25 years earlier is more interesting in my opinion. At least a story was told. This... there is no story just randomness. So please explain to me why this is a good film, and maybe I'll reconsider.

  • @ArcSpartan009 Ugh it's idiots like you who formulate what Hollywood produces today.

  • and a A+ for the random choice in audio at ten minutes in, for the pigeons that we know for a fact don't chirp see they coo.

So an F for realism and audio.

  • 2 minutes in and I'm bored. Why my professor assigned this video beyond me at the moment.

  • @pfw80 It's at the beginning of the film, Paolo Cherchi Usai.

  • Music is by "The Alloy Orchestra"

  • whose is the music? does anybody know?
