Even taught I found it boring at first,I believe it's quite a good film after analysis. Vertov wanted to create a new kind of universal cinema which aimed to show the world as it really is and make the spectator think.He was AGAINST holywood's movies with storylines, because he considered it as opium for the masses, which always need more umph.In a way, he was really influenced by Eisenstein critic's of Griffith, but in a more radical way.That's why there are shots with the operator or editor.
