I apologize for the lateness of this email, but last week was busy and we didn't have an opportunity to film the update. As you may have heard, last week, he House failed to pass the Civil Marriage Protection Act, allowing same sex individuals to marry. I know that many of you were disappointed to learn of this news, as was I.
On Wednesday, the House Health and Government Operations Committee and the Senate Finance Committee held hearings on my Coverage of Autism Spectrum Disorders bill. This legislation would require insurance coverage of behavioral health treatments, such as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), an evidence-based, medically-necessary therapy, in the treatment of autism.
