  • Yesterday I stood in front of the American Health Insurance Plans annual conference in Chicago.

This is the industry association of private insurance underwriters for small businesses.

I stood in the rain with hundreds of other laid-off workers from small business that have had to reduce staff or close altogether because of health insurance coverage costs for the most minimum of required coverage.

I saw no GOP Governors pleading my case.

    My channel has video.

  • where do they get this claim that they keep regurgitating over and over that most people are perfectly happy with their health insurance. Most people i speak to are in favor of the public option even the republicans the only people i know that are against this are against anything obama does. but where do they get the right to say most people without backing it up with data ?

  • I get the frustration, but I don't think it's the "hick" that is the problem here. There are a lot of rank and file Dems in the Deep South who are great on issues like health care.

It's the "conservative" and the "elected Republican" that are the sources of this... genius (read: dumbassery)

"Witch doctor..." What, was he reading Sarah Palin's plan or something?

  • Haley Barbour 2012: Once a K Street Hero, Always A K Street Hero

  • fucking hick

  • Sex change? Witch doctor?

No state requires these coverages. This man simply lies.

  • That guy is an idiot!

Anyone who votes for him in the future is one too!

  • Anyone who has had accupuncture knows it works. It's an accepted medical treatment.

What a dogs' toilet this man is.

  • ...that, and the gratuitous smear of New York.

    "sex changes...acupuncture...voodoo" ???

It's sort of early in the morning for lose lips, Governor. Were they serving Mimosas at the conference breakfast, do you think?

That sort of regionalism is simply disgraceful. Yet, the GOP leadership seems to let that sort of stuff simply waft out over the airways like the scent of Southern honeysuckle.

    Homophobic, anti-Semitic and Racist Rhetoric

    I don't know what's in Gov. Barbour's heart.

    I can guess.
