I'm so happy the surgeon is working with you and you are feeling comfortable with him!! YAY!!! GO PORT!! I think I am going to get a port, I've always said if something happened to my PICC, that I would just go ahead and get a port. And I still want one. It has such a longer potential life span, and I don't realistically see myself off IVs in a year even, so I think its the best decision for me. Boo....you keep saying Oregon. Makes me homesick. We were in Eugene several times a week!!

@mathewmonkey No, I don't. Fevers are more of a Babesiosis symptom. Babesiosis is another tick-borne disease but it's related to malaria and requires different treatment than Lyme disease. Do you have Lyme?
