i quit my job last week... and i know it is for the better :D
I am leaving that dead end paths to pursue an infinite path of creation and wisdom.

My point, if it matters, the way the term 'follow your heart' is used these days, it can be a self-indulgent thing. So I was referencing a traditional scripture that informs us that really we need to hold our ground even sometimes when it feels like we want to do something else. I don't want to see people chasing whims and passions and calling it their heart. That is my concern, since the real call of the heart is steadier and deeper and is willing to weather discontent. Cheers.

i was on this exact path myself, only to discover that it was in complete misalignment with my heart, as it eventually drove me off the course and dumped me in a ditch of depression and burnout...
it was definitely NOT fun to go thru...but in the end, it proved to be necessary in order to allow the unfolding of an environment where i can heal, detached from any other misaligned "duties" of this stupid society...

I understand where you're coming from. I'm having a difficult time as well.....It's like I can see 2 different perspectives on life, and I just don't know which one is the right one. And if I do follow which one feels right, it totally goes against the whole "plan" I had for going to college, alot is vested in that.

i would like to comment on this....I took this advice to heart even before i watched this video....after learning about 2012 and ascension i decided i could not go on at art school...i want to help people and impact the world..ive dropped out and am doing a program next year called interm program where i do social programs all over the world....I have been exteremly emotionally upset my entire life, and im doing my best to try to achieve inner happiness before this spiritual awakening...

I didn't know that the Bhagavad Gita is so semantically particular. I don't see how 'spiritual duty' and path of the heart could be that much different. In my view, your spiritual duty, if you truly did agree upon it prior to birth, would also be where your heart's fulfillment lies.

The Bhagavad Gita makes it clear that doing your duty is a path to perfection deeper than following your heart.

"The Bhagavad Gita makes it clear that doing your duty is a path to perfection deeper than following your heart"
Are you sure this is the correct wording? The Nine tell me the Bhagavad Gita contains much truth. Perhaps it has been incorrectly interpreted and it is "Spiritual duty" that is meant. However "duty" is a misleading word. One follows the heart that is in alignment with the will and the higher path. Doing things simply out of "duty" is embracing a lower vibratory path.

Spiritual duty, good. That's what I was looking for.

The Nine would use different wording (probably spiritual mission) but looking at it that way then yes, that statement makes sense.

i can just see 'Big Joe' coming home from the steel foundry at 6 pm and slamming his lunchpail on the table stating.."roz, i just cant lie to myself anymore. i'm a lightworker dammit!'...'i just gave my 2 week notice'....after which 'roz' shews away her 8 children so she can have privacy in which to ask Big Joe "how much does being a lightworker pay?"....Big Joe tries to explain that we are in a unique spacetime with the opportunity for ascension coming soon.......later Joe sleeps on the sofa

LOL Callieland..very true. It's all about finding that balance between existing within the current system, finding opportunities to change it & trusting the higher guidance that we can follow our hearts without doing something quite so drastic as Big Joe. Very funny tho, ever thought of taking up creative writing? You have a great feel for humour!
