  • hey wat color are red golden pheasant eggs?? i have a pair but they live with my miniture rooster and chicken so idk wat color the pheasant eggs are! cuz the chicken lays white eggs haha

  • @bluemonster50

Well Red golden pheasants eggs are white as well ( may be a slightlier buff colour) and similar in size and shape to bantam eggs, probably the best way of telling the difference would be when & where the eggs are laid

Bantam hens usually lay in a hay/straw nest within a house but a pheasant will usually create a depression in earth/sawdust & lay in this every other day from the end of April to August.

  • @MrCraftybadger alright thanks cuz i have my pheasants and miniature chickens all living together and i didnt know wat color or how the pheasant eggs looked.

another question is it right if i have like 4 male pheasants and just 2 females? will they fight over them??

  • @bluemonster50

Yes, they do fight and most probably to death (will probably start mid to end of march depending on enclosure size and cover available), just keep a close eye on them as fighting cocks can also injure or kill the female too.

    hope this helps

  • pheasants are so cute!!! how big are the eggs compared to store bought chicken eggs? im trying to make an egg turner for pheasant eggs for my incubator, but i dont know how big the eggs are, if they are bigger, or smaller.

  • @URAbunnylover2

Pheasant eggs are about the size of bantam eggs (roughly half the size of large store bought hen eggs).

Thanks for your comment and good luck with the pheasants, brooding can be tricky!

  • @MrCraftybadger Thanks! I have incubated bantam before, so i'll just use my old turner i used for them ^^. What did you mean by "brooding can be tricky"? I've brooded chicks, ducklings, and button quail before, are pheasants different?
