hey thanx for some info, in my lake there are no good topo map becuase i live in Puerto Rico and the lake i go to is Lago Matrullas and el Guineo so i guess i'll have to rely on some info through usgs sedimentary maps and fish around the bamboo cover and some grass edges

Watch my video on using a marker float. Google earth and look for the topo add on it works great. best of fishing!

@jbedra12 Don't worry too much about electronics when you are bass fishing, unless you have side image to view through tree structure. What you really need to understand is how, when, and where to fish the bass so you can catch them. A depth finder is all you really need so that you know the drop off or if there is any cover/structure there.

@mannyman729 Paper maps can be a great way to learn where the shallow and deep areas are on the lake and then you just fish around. It's a lot longer process when you get away from the bank without electronics. But it can be done. Get a good topo map of your lake and start looking for the types of areas that fit the season.
