It is part Military station, part Peace-keeper station and part trading outpost for visitors from all across that region of space.

They should keep the original voice tracks and do the entire series in really high end cg, no stupid stylization like that starars cartoon though. They should try to keep the characters as real looking and true to their original acts as possible.

Second season finale, the episode "The Fall Of Night,"

Those aren't laser weapons....

It's not a Military station, you know?

While I think it would be awesome, there's no justice that could be done to babylon 5 with a remake asside from graphics; and everything else could only be inferior. I don't want Babylon 5 soiled in that way.

Plasmabullets, nor laserbeams can be dodged. And what the problem with the technomages? Tec so high developed, that looks for every one likes magic?

Babylon4 was much larger (over twice the volume of B5), over twice the amount of fighters, much stronger weaponry etc.
Because of four failures they had to cut costs with Babylon 5. Though Earth Alliance non-100% military outpost taking out Primus-cruiser in few seconds is pretty good.

sense of realism? dodging lazerbeams or just those burst is kinda impossible in real life as you have to travel faster than light to evade them
and did you forget about technomages? WTF is real about that
-
yeah! that would rock!!!
I'm a big sci-fi fan, but man B5 stood out for it's sense of realism.
Not too many shows pay attention to Newtonian physics.
Anyone notice the Starfury carrying along it's original vector but had rotated along its axis to continue strafing the Centari warship?
