I've had lots of people ask me for information about the song, so I'll just give that info here. The literal name of the track is 'ICO - You were there', and you can find it on the 'ICO ~Melody in the Mist~' OST (which you'll likely find on PlayAsia or somewhere similar).

It's a bit of a shame but I never understood the dialogue since I think only the european version had that feature unless the HD re-release adds it( I don't it's out yet but I don't keep track of games stuff much anymore).
