Hazel McCallion --PUFF'in It

Hazel McCallion puffs on about Mississauga being the best during a May 23, 2007 awards presentation. Mayor McCallion presented a Communications Award to the Mississauga Communications Department (Spinmeisters).




FACT: There are close to two dozen people in the MIssissauga Communications Department (will confirm actual number later) yet only ONE person handling Freedom of Information. Yes, just one and that person also sits on council at times. And goes on vacation. Who handles Freedom of Information in that person's absence?...

Spinmeisters have open floodgates of propaganda while a citizen attempting to verity their auditious claims have just one person retrieving data through Freedom of Information. In short, a FLOOD vs a trickle.

I have this impression that Hurricane Hazel is just this phenomenal woman who has done virtually all good and no bad for the city of Mississauga. I'm a United Statesian living in Montreal, so my point of reference is certainly from far outside the experience of someone who lives in Mississauga or knows Mayor McCallion, but I'm curious... is she as great as she seems? And if not, why?

Thanks for your question.

I voted for Hazel McCallion ever since the first time she tried for Mayor back in 1978.

In 2006 I voted for someone else.

In truth, I still have strong affection for her. But the tragedy is that City Staff and employees run the City of Mississauga and not Mayor McCallion. Or the Councillors.

This is confirmed through Freedom of Information and not my here-say..

Try as hard as I can I still love her. And that makes absolutely ZERO SENSE to me...

Re: "research"! You CANNOT believe what is on the City of MIssissauga's website OR what the Media write about Hazel McCallion! The only way you can call something "research" is to file Freedom of Information (FOI) on McCallion and her MIssissauga.

I've been filing FOI since Jan.2007 spending over $2,000 on just City of Mississauga's governance alone. Freedom of Information, bitterfly77 confirms that Staff LIE.
