In the fourth and final part of the epic cycle, Der Ring des Nibelungen, the treachery and betrayal which leads to Siegfried's death also heralds the downfall of the gods and the return of the gold to the Rhine.

  • Opus Arte: I love that you use YouTube, but why only 1 min excerpts? And you should repost the videos with better sound. The sound is really blurry and bad.

  • Dear Webkommunikasjon

Thanks for your feedback, it's good to hear that you appreciate the Opus Arte clips. The 1-min clip issue is one that annoys many YouTube users but unfortunately our hands are currently tied due to the complicated rights issues relating to video recordings. Regarding the quality issue, this is something that we are currently looking into and hope to resolve it very soon.

Best wishes, and thanks again for the support.

  • @MsPicassos Actually he was a terrible human being but a great composer.

  • What an incredibly bad orchestra...

  • it's cool!!!

  • Another finely crafted masterpiece duplicated in plastic.

  • TERRIBLE. patrice chereau strikes again with his madness--apparently you Europoeans have to f-- up your own dramas with techno directors. So far, here in America, we still honor Wagner and his set design.

  • With all this ridiculous production & staging that Richard Wagner could never have dreamed of, why doesn't someone just downsize the orchestra and let a jazz quintet play combo arrangements, or let a DJ with 2 turntables perform it. Wagner didn't intend it to be performed that way, but why not? Leaving the music in 1860's and putting a plastic, Walt Disney treatment on the production doesn't make much sense.

  • create world peace now!

  • HORRIBLE!

  • ..wagner...striking compositions..fascinating..great man.....wagner...

  • yeah ummm... that scared me
