If u ever get another little in your cymbal just take a drill and drill it out it wont really change the sound and it wont keep spreading.

@jcbecker I tried that on another cymbal and it made it sound disastrous! Maybe it depends on the type of cymbal. At any rate, the torn piece of the cymbal in this video has long since fallen off. Still works as a crappy china cymbal though!

im pretty sure the rags on the inside of the drums make them sound even worse than they would without'em

Yeah, I took out the rags and bought those plastic muting rings a while ago.

That's a good point, but I don't feel the need to call him an idiot, he was trying to be helpful. Do you have any recommendations for more affordable cymbals? I'd like to replace both crash cymbals and get a ride.
