As Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Salam International Investments Ltd. (SIIL), a Middle Eastern conglomerate with a 57 year heritage, Issa Abdul Salam Abu-Issa leads one of Qatar's most vibrant and diversified public shareholding companies. Mr. Abu-Issa, led the transformation of Salam from being one of Qatar's family-owned businesses into a public shareholding company, operating both locally and regionally. Holder of a BSc. in Business Administration from USIU in San Diego, California, Mr. Abu-Issa gives leadership to over 30 diverse investments and operations in the fields of Technology, Telecom and Media, Development & Contracting, Luxury and Consumer Products, Energy, Power and Industry, and Investments and Real Estate. When not at work, Issa enjoys cruising in his yacht in the azure waters of Turkey. Horses have a soft spot in his heart thus; he finds his present involvement with Al Shaqab Equestrian Academy fulfilling. He served as Vice-Chairman of the Qatar Equestrian Federation in the late 90's. The interview with Ricardo Karam took place in Doha, Qatar.
