Puertorican Cuatro

Learning the puertorican cuatro. My 3rd day of having it, I learned the song "Maria Isabel" which is an old spanish tune. I know I suck, no need to point it out lol.

I don't think so. My dad has an esteban acoustic guitar that I can't play to save my life but I play the cuatro just fine. The strings are closer and its easier to play chords and such.

However, something that does make it hard is 1) lack of instructional books/videos, 2) lack of teachers, 3) lack of practice material and music on internet, 4) just lack of popularity in general.

i basically have to learn everything on my own...

I only put the space because this site doesn't allow you to write the hyperlinks. It works without the w w w just put cuatros by itself then use the dot (.) com I just went there and it works. If not, search it in yahoo and you will find it there.
