@rlwing Did he get it wrong or are you misunderstanding the lyric / verse? Speaking of verses take a look at Hebrews 10:2, 10:17, etc. From the original lyrics "Prepare yourself, you know it's a must, Gotta have a friend in Jesus" and then "Never been a sinner I never sinned I got a friend in Jesus" In other words, if sins have been completely removed and God remembers them no more, it's as though we have never sinned. Which is what the song says. Take another look. Just sayin'

@Mela420Luna Take it from a Christian, a lot of us don't like it either.

I just heard the song for the first time right before I found this cut. I would play it in church.

@rlwing To be totally fair, though, Christianity is a myth, there were dozens of people claiming to be Messiahs when Jesus was running around, the old Testament God was based on the middle eastern god "El" (which is where Elohim comes from) which is why he was such a jerk in the old testament whereas, by the time the New Testament came around, they were worshiping YHWH who was quite a bit nicer of a deity than El.
Most Christians don't even know their own religions history.

i always wished that they would play this song at a church service that i attended, that would be way cool.
did they change the lyrics at 2:20? i think the original lyrics were "im not a sinner, ive never sinned" and they changed it to "i know im a sinner, yes ive sinned" is what it sounds like

@MTread545 Yes, we changed the lyrics. The only thing that Norm got wrong in the song (he wasn't a Christian), was that Christians never sin. The truth is that "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God!" Romans 3:23. We are born into sin, and the way out is a relationship with Jesus Christ.
