@drillsgtvee Yep, great plane. This one is N9505C, one of last two Catalinas that are owned by SLAFCO, normally up at Moses Lake, the old Larson AFB. But last I heard it was in need of some TLC, sitting in Tuscon.

This video clip is the first opening scene in the movie 'ALWAYS', a great, little-known Steven Spielberg film that features firebomber aircraft to tell a love story. A fine film, that shows many old military warbird aircraft that have been converted to the civilian firebombing mission, in which to combat forest fires.

The aircraft shown in this clip is an old WW2 Navy seaplane patrol bomber, the PBY 'Catalina', flown by John Goodman, in the film. 8)
