We can sure relate to Human Dog as our Golden (RIP) was more human than dog. We got him at 5 weeks and he lived till 11.5 yrs. God I miss him so much.

Goldens are the demi-gods of the dog world. Never a better companion. I've had three and I have never met anyone who can resist their charms. A young man, if he wishes feminine companionship, need only take one of these beauties on a leash and he's all set. I saw one guy in a parking lot, and he was no Brad Pitt, but he had a 5-week old male Golden in his arms and there must have been 7 pretty women around him......:-)

This brought tears to my eyes. I love all dogs, but goldens are truly special. Our family golden lived to be 14, now i'm on my second one and he is 5. Such amazing creatures. I'm so sorry for your loss, please treasure the memories and remember that he wouldn't want you to be sad!

This is very beautiful! It has me in tears.... I lost my golden 4 months ago and he was just 4 years old. He had one too many seizures that wore him down. Two years before losing him I lost my only child/ daughter of 22 years old and my golden was there for me through it all. They are the best dogs.

@TheValleyOfLight Yeah seriously, it sucks. They should be able to live at least like 25 or 30 years. I guess it's for the better cause how sad would we be if we had them 30 years and they died. It would be insane. Most dogs outlast marriages.
