St. Bernards Suffering in Johnstown, PA July 30, 2009: Thayne tries to get help for the dog

Thayne tries to help two suffering and matted St. Bernards in Johnstown, PA, taking the advice of DA Consiglio and Judge Doyle, who insisted that Thayne would have gotten help for Doogie if she'd just called the cops. Let's see how that works here in Pennsylvania!

The dog pays the price.

Now this dog could be dead even as we type. Because no one will do the right thing for him. Horrendous!

Not only are the cops in PA horribly behind the times, but police are this way in many communities nationwide.

Stop tolerating the abuse! Thayne is not the bad guy. The bad guy is the one who left these dogs in this condition. The bad guys are the cops who refuse to do their jobs. Guess what, West Hills Police, there are these things called warrants, and there's this thing called the law which states that dogs in PA MUST have veterinary care. The guardian of these dogs is breaking the law and is breaking moral laws of both God and man.

Please call these number and demand justice for these St. Bernards and just treatment of all animals within their jurisdiction.

personally I would have just taken the them myself, and delt with the consequences coming to me. never revealing the location of the dogs.

At LOSER Jeff... (no, sorry, no difference between the abuse of children & animals) you are the kind of loser that would hit a dog that ran in front of your car & keep going !! (It is obvious) May God punish animal abusers so severely when the day comes !! I wish I was there, I would have taken care of those God given beautiful creatures & THEN... waited around the corner for the owner/caretaker & made sure somehow he/she/it was hung by the nipples, balls whatever with GREEN, moldy water pumped

It is sad to see animals treated this way and it is shame the way the laws regarding animals are handled, however I would like to make a few comments: First- police only have so much "teeth" to enforce animal cruelty, second- you posted Upper/Lower Yoder Police which is not correct, Lower Yoder is covered by West Hills Police and they are not associated with Upper Yoder Police, Third if you are an "Animal Rescuer" why don't you know the proper authorities to call instead of blaming police?

I would not care what the owner or the cops would say or do i would take both dogs and give them food, water, and thake them to the vet and pay for it myself because i have 5 st bernards and i would do anything to help them.

@ToasterBrain Yes, because this situation is exactly analogous to human genocide on an industrial scale? If she wants to break the law to save a dog, that is her risk. But to blame other people, who have to follow the law and live within budgets, is just self-righteous grandstanding.
