You have the ugliest shooting form ive ever seen!

Dude you are a good shooter and all, but why are you TEACHING how to shoot? Your form is very bad idk how your able to swish so much but most ppl are not gonna get the same results as you do. If anyone wants to learn how to shoot, look at Pro nba good shooters, like Ray Allen, Steve Nash, Stephen Curry, etc and try to emulate them. Trust me you wont get the same results if u copy this guy

How is the open stance that much different from squaring up?? I can see that your shoulders are not perfectly square when you shoot, and I would agree that you don't want to be perfectly square when you shoot, but how much difference is there in "open shooting" to square up shooting?

People hating on this guys shot, but he shoots real good. Everyone is going to have different form because everyone is different. Nothing is WRONG with his form. The only exception is his set-point because it's considerably low. The setpoint does not matter as long as the elbow does not flare out. Many shooters have started off shooting with a low set-point, but gradually raise it higher and higher until they have a perfect jumpshot. Love the video.

@mikeandikes3 Honestly its somewhat true when I first heard of this I tried doing it and I just started swishing shots BUT it was inconsistent for me. I ended up adding my own twist to by just trying to put the ball in my shot pocket and jumping straight up and not leaning forward surprising that helped improved my jumpers look and consistency.

@066972282sarmad1 what about joakim noah's shooting form?
What about ball security? To start this kind of setjumpshot you need to stick the ball in front of you, then start the down up leg motion - ample time for the opponent to block. With other methods of shooting, you start the downup motion from the shotpocket (a more secure area), then elevate and bring the ball to the setpoint, then release. THIS is the way all the so called swish pure shooters in the nba shoot. They dont set the ball before starting the downup motion, they start the motion fro

Try it out some of Tom Nordland's suggestions and you will feel the difference yourself.

what are the weaknesses of the Swish method? Btw, I own both Swish 1&2 and BB Better Shooting 2.

There are actually one. First, as you can see, releasing the ball with a push like I am doing takes time. What I mean is that it is required to have your legs bend and unwind, and USE that leg drive as your main source of power. So, your shot will be as quick/slow as you bend and unwind. You won't be able to make those tough and quick shots that you wish you could make, but its better to make consistent shots with ease than attempt making tough shots.

The shooting form may be ugly/terrible by conventional orthodox shooting forms but the results from the video obviously show that you can be a great shooter even if you have a different stroke.
Just asking, are you able to do jumpshots with this stroke?
