If you don't remember, you asked me "what the hell is a potential difference" after my first post. I offered to explain it to you, and you jumped down my throat. How, exactly, is this being passive-aggressive? I'm offering to teach you some basic mechanics that you clearly don't know, and which would help you understand a siphon better. You made two incorrect assumptions. The first being that the "hill" is necessary to the siphon action, and the second is just a product of the first, where you think that I missed a blatant fact that turns out to be just an incorrect assumption.

I assumed that, in missing the quite blatant fact that the "hill" is a key aspect of a siphon, you wouldn't have thought that the term could be used in some peripheral sense in the description of a siphon. Is that the way in which you were thinking? Or where you just nit picking at irrelevant details because you have absolutely nothing constructive to say?
