  • Key is getting them feeding first without a rig in the swim, bait above bush with hempseed or small pellets , elips halibut. do this for at least 1/2 an hour best an hour, keeping it top up with bait, then cast in after fish you may need to rest keep the feed going in etc. Rig wise straight running or lead clip lead with long hooklink at least 3-4ft 10lbs line i favour drennan sink braid to a size 10 hook with two medium sized elips glued to hair.

  • I am a young fisherman im 16 i love fishing for barbel in some cases they bite but there is a bush with a load of them in it what bait/rig would you recamend because they tend to swim right to the back of the bush ?
