This is one of the best scammers around. The corrupt L.A. PVB is a combination of private and government employees. The government employees are the ones giving you the actual ticket, the whole back end of the operation is being run by a private company out of Philadelphia called PRWT. If you dont like meter maids wait to you deal with PRWT, they are a whole new bread of nasty. At least they attempt to be courteous when they bend you over...

The combined elements of the PVB generates more then $130 million per year for the City of Los Angeles.

They do this by a combination of fraud, deceit and just plain making the process so difficult that its less expensive to pay their fines then to prove your innocence!

In this call, I was following up on a form that I had still not received from the PVB to dispute a parking ticket that is $100. The representative tells me that she will resend the form, however, the supposed due date that was created when I originally requested the form would still stand even though I never received anything from them. If they do not receive the completed form by 01/13, three business days from the time of this call, I lose my ability to contest the citation forever.

In this 10-min call you can see how the people of the PVB operate. Aside from the wishy washy answers, they clearly place all of liability on the people being forced to deal with them. By the way, after another 10-minutes on hold, the supervisor was unavailable, as always. Good luck getting a call back, assuming your naive enough to request one.

  • Maybe I am a pain in the ass, however, this isn't the first time they have failed to deliver documents afterwhich there are no avenues of appeal, only to pay the fine. They actually refuse to grant you an appeal after a short cutoff, how convenient? Furthermore, this my 3rd call with them, it gets frustrating. All I wanted was anf explanation indicating that it is possible for them to make a mistake and that there are other avenues a person can take once mistake has occurred other then paying.

  • @tooosweeet They fail to send docs often. Forget about "every douche", what about a regular guy who got their fine doubled and had to spend 2-hours on the phone to get nowhere?

  • I get the feeling that they are willing to work for those wakes simply because of the sadistic satisfaction they get from screwing everyone...

  • id love her to get screwed like that and then she could tell herself it was her problem , stupid fucking jobs worth , god i hate people like her

  • you fuked with that representative so cool you are the man i will do this my self i live in chicago and the are the same assholes

  • everyone makes mistakes.

  • They are demanding money. They can pay for certified mail.

  • You did a good job and if this was court the judge may have thrown it out. However it's all in vain. I speak from experience. I've had many conversations like this and it doesn't matter. The bottom line is they are the FEDERAL MAFIA and they have a GUN TO YOUR HEAD and you will pay OR ELSE that's what it is. This situation in Los Angeles is OUT OF CONTROL. There a fucking sign on the 405 South that says "cone zone" "$1000 fine". Then they hit you with taxes and fees and it's $3,500.00 in court.

  • lmao!

  • Dude are you a lawyer or something like that? You pwned her.

  • I just had an almost identical conversation with a similarly robotic and dim witted PVB rep. I wrote them a letter requesting the audio recording for precisely this purpose. People need to see the inequitable way the PVB does business. How did this end? Got any advice on where to go after a similar conversation?
