  • *shrug*.. it's not like we were bracket racing for money or anything.. it was a test/tune session. I was more worried about launching the car than my R/T's.. I've never heard of leaving late as a "boot".. We call it getting "tree'd", but, that's about it..

  • @JIautosalon isnt the vq from the 300zx?

  • Man, that ride squats up and down all the way down the track.

Put some cables to tie down the front springs and some rubber bushing to lift up the rear springs, with some M/T slicks, and you're look at mid to low 12's, easy.

  • yeah dude i'll have to check it out. I've got an 03' Spec V. I absolutely love my car

  • Hardly... These cars run 12.80's - 12.90's @ 105mph in N/A form, on 24.5x8" slicks. Toss in a little N20 (up to 150hp jetting on a stock VQ35), and you're talking about a 118-120mph trap.. The car doesn't handle any worse than a Spec with a QR25.. the engine weighs roughly 50lbs more, versus the stock QR. Placing the battery in the trunk can account for the difference in weight.

  • man that car looks like it needs better rubber, i know it can do better than that! 4 sure! wicked vid, wicked car!!!

  • exelent swap bro didnt even think it could fit in there

  • dude how much did it cost to get the VQ35DE Maxima engine swap (with installation)? And are there any torque steer issues?... shits tight! haha

  • Sick ass sentra man, wish mine had a VQ, bet u b turnin heads were ever u go.

  • Kudos, but I hope there aren't a bunch of losers out there who think this makes any sense for a normal person. Just buy an Evo/STi and you'll keep up with that car, have warranty, and you won't be driving a Sentra. Not to mention if you spend less than a grand. You'll blow that car out of the water. Also, the handling on that car has to be garbage.

Anyway, good proof of concept. Kudos again.
